Burnout: working out what’s actually going on
Burnout is a word we reach for when several different problems all feel the same from the inside — exhaustion, resentment, misalignment, or simply too much for too long. The fix depends entirely on which one it is, and "rest more" only answers one of them.
This might be you if…
- Rest helps for a day and then it’s back by Tuesday.
- You’ve started resenting work you used to care about.
- The tiredness feels less like sleep-debt and more like something deeper.
- You can’t tell if you need a holiday or a different life.
How the board helps
The board helps you tell the versions apart before you make a move you can’t take back. Is this a load problem (too much), a meaning problem (wrong thing), a boundary problem (no off-switch), or a recovery problem (no real rest)? Naming it correctly is most of the work — and it’s the part you can’t do alone at 11pm with a tired brain.
You don’t have to have it figured out first. Open the Mindset & Inner Strength board and start where you are — four advisors will take it from there.
